OCTAGON was present in the first IPEX International Property Exhibition and Conference in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Were present other exhibitors from Mauritius, Malta, Cyprus, Seychelles and South Africa. The Managing Director of Octagon, Henry Loo was amongst the guest speakers during the Conference. Octagon met various developers, investors and buyers interested with the Mauritian market.
 

OCTRAM Ltd has awarded the construction of « Le Meritt Condominium – Quatre Bornes » to BCEG, Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co Ltd (Mauritius) after a tender process. BCEG China is amongst the Top 225 International Contractors, 10 Best International Chinese Contractor, amongst the top 500 companies in China. Recognized in China for quality and preservation of the environment.

Over Rs 1.4M has been contributed to the Town of Quatre Bornes for building permit. OCTAGON predicts Condominium prices to rise as construction starts, early investors have already made sound investment. Buyers in this project beneficiate from 5% Tax free as no registration duty is to be paid under stimulus package. Financial partners Mauritius Union and Afrasia offers excellent loans to buyers. A showflat is actually under construction and guests will be invited to visit and choose their future Condominiums.
 

The Executive Director Mr Kenn Yeo and the Managing Director Henry Loo of OCTAGON attended the worlds largest property forum in Cannes, France. MIPIM regrouped 17,300 attendees, 1720 exhibitors from 81 countries. Numerous mergers and acquisitions were announced. While the global recession is still present MIPIM shows signs of optimism and activity in the property market. Mauritius Board of Investment and developers were present to promote investment in the country. Octagon made various contacts with worldwide investors.

 

OCTAGON presented the 1st Condominium project in Mauritius "Le Meritt Condominium" in Quatre Bornes, a project with outstanding sales after being launched on the 15th Aug 2009, due to its outstanding design & international concept brought to Mauritius. Over 70% units were reserved in 4 weeks. Construction is expected to start 1st trimester of 2010 by a Grade A Contractor. Various lucky draw were done thanks to partners: Legrand, SCHMIDT and OID.
